Container Gardening

Plant succulents in pots and hanging baskets. Water sparingly for a few weeks while plants become established.
Plant summer flowering seedlings such as marigolds, verbena, petunias and impatiens.
Raise the lawn mower a notch or two and mow less frequently as the weather gets drier.
Water more frequently as the weather warms up.
Water outdoor containers daily in dry weather.

Deadhead roses regularly to encourage repeat flowering.
Plant marigolds, impatiens, petunias, phlox.
